Christ on a jetbike. Time passes. I’ve kept busy over the year adding to the leadpile, attending a couple of shows (Derby Worlds last October – looking forward to this year) and Hammerhead back in May, painting my backlog and seriously getting into Kings Of War.

Much like a tree falling down in the forest when no one’s around it’s safe to say that my absence from the blogosphere didn’t leave a yawning chasm. It’s fine and I’m good with that but it did leave me thinking…

On and off over the last year I’ve pondered on whether to resurrect the blog but struggled to find a reason. It doesn’t and never did have a USP. I won’t be snagging any interviews with golden era ™ Games Workshp /Citadel staff anytime soon. I won’t be crowd-funding and releasing my own short-run sets of minis sculpted by my favourite sculptors of yesteryear. I’m way too apathetic to froth about Warhammer Age Of Who-really-gives-a-toss. So where does this blog fit in? It doesn’t! So enough of the existential crisis – let’s have some pictures of minis! Think of easilylead as a drunk stranger wandering up to you, opening up a box file of painted goodies and going “Pssst! Look what I painted”. For no good reason. Look inside friends, look inside…

This is my warband for an imaginary set of skirmish rules set in the Runequest world of Glorantha (that I know I’ll never get around to writing). I think we’ve an Asgard dwarf, a Ral Partha magic user and the rest are Citadel. Love the old elf range that the one at the back is from – so full of charm.

Four random old chaos champions that I’d just undercoated last time I blogged.

Achtung! Mengale Gruppen! Or something equally inappropriate. These guys are from a free sprue of German infantry that visitors to the last Derby Worlds event got in their goody bag. Converted up with an old Ral Partha werewolf and a skull from a box of plastic GW beastmen. They’ve seen action as part of a pulp WW2 game based on the In Her Majesty’s Name rulset.

Scan down the blog and you’ll see how The Bad Moon Rising public house started life… Got to love the Pound Shop.

Norse Scum! All manner of old dwarfly goodness here. As with most of my dwarf units its a mixed bag of pre and slotta Citadel, Grenadier / Chronicle, Ral Partha, Asgard…anything really including the odd plastic figure. As long as they’ve got character they can join my ranks.

These fellas were going to be the Hairy Farmers. One spoonerism later and…

The Sleezey Riders! Took ages to build and paint for some reason. To add insult, they’ve never managed to inflict a single point of damage in any game. Still, dwarves on badgers…swoon.I’ll leave the rest of the dwarf army for another post (maybe in less than a year this time). In the meantime, last pic is of my Pulp Miniatures Trans-Siberian Renegades (with added Ral Partha Rasputinalike and a Westwind missile dude). Toodlepip.
