So…parenthood related insanity rolls on. Sleep – little. Stress – lots. Time for selfish metal fun? Limited. But in a really crap show n tell, here’s what I’ve managed over the last couple of weeks…

The Lord Of The Feast – the final part of my Circle force for Hordes (until I inevitably purchase more). One day, I shall field the bugger…one day…

Ooh…that’s a shite photo isn’t it? One pre slotta Chaos warrior, which had been knocking around the half-finished paintjob box for a while. Moving him into the ‘finished’ pile inspired me to undercoat/colour wash these fellas… (love how one project leads onto another sometimes…). More pre-slotta Chaos joy, two of which are now painted up – pics to follow.

Next up, a random purchase and paint. Found this pair ( a gentleman and a gentleman’s gentleman) in the bargain bin at a really nice model shop next to New Street Station in Brum. At the price, I couldn’t refuse. A really enjoyable paint and I’m thinking of buying some overpriced gothic horror floorplans from Ebay, buying some more figures and home-brewing a Lovecraftian skirmish game. So many ideas, so little time…

Next up, the Hasslefree dwarf wizard I’ve had in the undercoated pile for a while. Love this figure and really happy with the paint job.

And finally, the 1:72 German force starts to become a reality. Three hours of family-free time and these beauties were off the sprues and in the case of the MG-34, assembled (that was tricksy!). Just got to paint the buggers now…

Time’s ticking down…an evil genius of my acquaintance has scratch-built an entire bombed-out French village to game in, having roped his children in to paint the thing. They used to send kids up chimneys, now they paint wargames terrain. They don’t know how good they’ve got it.
