Hey up…
Loving the bank holiday. Chocolate, screaming kids…pleasure and pain. Yup. Fuelled by chockie and vino I’ve manged to just about finish five more beserkers. Although, after I took the photos, I went to line them up with their five compadres and realised that their beards looked too tidy. Another dark wash on the beards for the fellas I think, but here are the pics regardless.
Particularly loving the one bearing his bum. Does this count as a standard bearer of sorts?
And in between dishing up Peppa Pig pasta and cake for the crazy nearly-three-year-old I managed to glue these little corkers onto slotta bases and undercoat ready for a dark wash treatment to aid my poor tired eyes in applying a basecoat. Bugmans Pre slottas. I’m daydreaming of free-hand painting a Guinness logo on the standard – we’ll see how it goes:
And yes, there’s the old Lord Of The Feast sitting on the end, taunting me, telling me to get over myself, forget the drunk painting atrocity and have another go (see previous post, dear reader).
And finally, spurred on by Chico’s 40mm-minimum paint challenge http://oldhammeronabudget.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/and-next-challenge-week-is.htmlI managed to sprint through this fella (a Ral Partha undead ogre). Not my best work, but I fancied seizing the moment, rising to a challenge and cracking one off (so to speak). An ace mini which I’ve not really done justice to.
Not an award winner, but like James Brown, I feel good.
Laters.

Yep and a grand job you did at bashing one out over the weekend. Love that figure and your painting did it justice.
